Our Facility

The training programs at Canine Academy are designed to provide the time necessary to obtain successful results. These results have contributed to the large number of dogs trained at our school. Popularity necessitated an expansion of our facility in 1985 of more than double its former size. 

We are situated on six acres in the beautiful Litchfield Hills of northwestern Connecticut. This rural setting of rolling lawns, a pond, fields, meadowland with surrounding stone walls and our home--built in 1773---affords a way of life and an atmosphere ideally suited to the training and boarding dogs.

​Every dog being trained (or staying here for boarding) enjoys clean spacious quarters. The inside area is 4 1/2' X 6 and the outside covered area is 4 1/2' X 18'. Our kennel also features radiant heated floors and a fire security system with 24-hour monitor.
